March Beekeeping Guide

Outside the hive, spring is clearly taking hold here in St. Augustine and across Northeast Florida. Wildflowers and early blooms are showing up, daylight hours are stretching longer, and daytime temperatures are steadily warming. Colonies are beginning to shift out of winter mode and into population growth mode fast as nectar and pollen sources start to build.
